MINISTER FOR REGIONAL TRANSPORT VISITS WAGGA

I had a great opportunity to join the Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, Jenny Aitchison, with leaders from Wagga Wagga City Council last week for a productive meeting on the electorate’s transport needs.

Roads, bridges, buses, and trains were all on the agenda, plus much more, with the Minister giving us a good hearing on what our city needs now and what we’ll need to thrive in the future.

While in town, Minister Aitchison made a welcome announcement of funding for new accessible bus shelters in the Riverina, including one in Chaston Street.

Improved public transport will be important to the future of our community so the Minister’s announcement laid the groundwork for what I hope will be a lot more good news to come.

I’m looking forward to continuing our work together to achieve our aims and I thank the Minister for her genuine interest in improving Wagga Wagga and surrounds.
